Giro d’Italia 2025: Ganmar star in Durazzo with the Sistema Vent®

The Giro d’Italia 2025 started from Durazzo, in Albania, and the backdrop to the Great Departure was an extraordinary work of contemporary architecture: the Veliera of Piazza del Porto. An iconic project by the Archea Associati studio, to which Ganmar is proud to have contributed its cutting-edge technology.

An architecture that symbolises the start of the Giro d’Italia 2025

La Veliera is an architectural work that evokes the movement of wind and waves, with a sail suspended between four imaginary trees. A powerful visual symbol that framed the start of the Giro d’Italia 2025 from Durazzo, strengthening the link between sport, culture and innovation.

Ganmar at the Giro d’Italia: the Vent® System for the Durrës Sailboat

At the heart of this structure is also Ganmar, thanks to the use of the Sistema Vent®, a patented technology for natural stone ventilated facades, ideal for complex architectural projects and exposed environments such as the Adriatic coast.

Il Sistema Vent® guarantees:

  • Safety and structural stability on large surfaces exposed to wind and weather.
  • Effective drainage and aeration, essential for the life of materials.
  • Resistance to salt, moisture and thermal variations.
  • Durability over time, maintaining the aesthetics of natural stone.

Italian building technology at international showcase

Participation in the Veliera project confirms Ganmar’s ability to bring Italian building technology to international stages. A combination of engineering, sustainability and design that enhances public infrastructure and major sporting events.
